The objective of Christian Family Schools Limited is to promote the Christian faith by the provision of a school or schools staffed with committed Christians using a distinctively biblical approach to knowledge and learning. Parents will be expected to be committed to active participation in the education of their children both at home and at school. The aim being to provide each child with a biblical understanding which will equip that child for practical living in this world and to encourage the child’s awareness of spiritual and eternal realities. The parents will be expected to support fully these aims though their own religious or world views may differ.

Christian Schools and Secular Schools

Many Christians are involved in the secular schools as Head Teachers, Deputies, teachers, support workers, Governors and parents. Each faithful believer will have a ripple effect due to their own personal witness – some large, some small. The effect for good that can be made in Sheffield’s secular schools should be supported by the Christian community through prayer, encouragement and resources.
However, despite all our efforts, and all our prayers, schools and the education system have declined into secular, materialist and humanist ways. In the cold light of analysis, Christian influence on modern education has had little enduring effect.

Transforming

• If Christian parents embraced Christian education on a citywide scale it would have a transforming effect on schooling in the city.
• If churches saw education, both Christian and secular, as an important element of mission which is biblically warranted, then as salt and light and by God’s grace, we could have a transforming effect on our city.
